My birthday

I’m so lucky, a few days after mother’s day it is my birthday. Again the kids and Tom surprised me, this time they made a beautiful fruitsalade on sticks. Shelley came by with her family. She had made special vegan cakes with chocolate inside. They melted in my mounth and fitted perfectly with the fruit and a cup of tea. Thanks all of you!

Ik heb geluk, een paar dagen na moederdag is het mijn verjaardag. Opnieuw verrasten Tom en de kinderen mij: deze keer met een zelfgemaakte fruitsalade op stokjes. Shelley kwam langs met haar familie. Ze bracht veganistische cakejes met chocolade van binnen. Ze pasten perfect bij de fruitsla en een kopje thee. Bedankt allemaal. 

Mothers and covers

For moeke and joma, we send a package home with some mother’s day gift. The kids worked on their cards for a few days. Adding layers to watercolor paintings and making a hearth out of crayon sharpenings. We send them an eco friendly gift: eco covers for food storage in the fridge or to take to a party. Amanda Young, a friend of me sells them. A friend of hers makes them. The prints are really nice. I have a set of my own and they are always in use and they make your fridge look beautiful on the inside. They are washable and so strong you can still stack. For my mom I send another gift, homemade by Amanda: A healing necklace with special stones, the ones in the middle representing our children and her.

Voor moeke en joma stuurden we een pakketje op voor moederdag. De kindjes werkten een paar dagen aan de kaartjes: meer en meer laagjes met de waterverf, wasko schilfers maken van te korte stukjes om mee te kleuren en ze omtoveren tot een hartje. We stuurden ook een milieuvriendelijk cadeautje op: hoezen voor kommetjes en overschotels. Je frigo ziet er plots mooier uit en wanneer je naar een feestje moet en je deelt eten vast en zeker een paar complimentjes waard. Mijn vriendin Amanda Young verkoopt ze. De stofjes zijn modern. Ze zijn wasbaar en zo sterk dat je nog steeds kommetjes boven elkaar kan zetten. Voor ons moeke stuurden we nog een ander cadeautje van haar winkel, een zelfgemaakte hasketting met helende stenen. De 4 middelste zijn moeke en de 3 kindjes.

Mother's day

On Mother’s day Tom made vegan pancakes with the kids. They were as sweet as all the cards, hugs and kisses. Thanks a lot! I feel so lucky having you all. Love you!

Op moederdag maakte Tom met de kindjes pannekoeken. Ze waren zo zoet als de kaartjes, knuffels en kusjes. Bedankt!!! Ik ben zo gelukkig met jullie allemaal! Hou van jullie!

May Pole celebration

The May Pole celebration is always full of beauty. Look at the flower creations, listen to the words being sang and feel the rhythm as we dance around the May Pole.

De Mei Paal viering is altijd vol pracht. Kijk naar de bloemen creaties, luister naar de woorden gezongen, voel het ritme terwijl we dansen rond de meipaal.
